Metal is not devil worship, well to me it is not. However there are different kinds of metal and some kinds of metal are just for devil worship or just negative lyrics about religion and politics in general. I personally listen to progressive metal more than any other kind of metal and I can tell you that it is not devil worshipping music in any way.

thats only because some early metal bands didnt have a basic religion and some did worship the devil. my mom grew up in that time period and thats why she hates the music i listen to...

metal is NOT devil worship. people are just being shallow and judging it on their own opinion. i listen to a lot of hair metal, its not satanic at all. some of it is actually anti-satan.

some metal are concidered "satan`s music".
but there is christian metal.
so yah.
it`s not really agnostic.
death metal is concidered agnostic, though.

Metal is not devil worship. People don't listen to the words, or interpet the words in the wrong way,so they think it's devil worship. There are Christian Metal bands, and they definitely don't worship the devil. I've been listening to metal for years, and I don't worship the devil. Shoot, I go to church almost every Sunday.

Here my opinion :
This matter is a long long time matter in the world of metal music. Metal music always being judged by some ppl as the satanic music or devilworshipper music. Why do ppl think like that ??
Religious ppl as they always told them self, think that this music have to be avoided by anybody in this world, they say that this music is making ppl get brutal, get bad, etc. And this thought being injected to their younger ppl who the same religion as they are. This ppl inject the thought that this music is a satanic music, a devil worshipper music and stuff like that, to the younger ppl so the younger ppl are restricted to listen to this music. I ever see a video from a friend, in this video the music, all genre especially metal, being judged as a bad music, they talk about the satan's sign the use in the band, they play a record in backward direction then they can hear a massage that tell the listener to do bad thing, they say that AC/DC, an aussie hard rock band, is stand for words Anti Christ & Devil Child or KISS, us band, Kings In Satan's Service. And for me all of that just a stupidest thing to do. No use at all to explore music like that. And that's what a religion ppl do to music that they hate so much. As you can see that they just talk about the bad things about metal music. They never talk about the good things aboiut metal music, cause they never knew that metal music is a very nice music to enjoy.
And for sure this ppl is never know about religion , who create the music ? So if they say that the metal music is bad then GOD is also bad, cause God who create the music.

So if anyone talk to you again about that, you can ask them, " so what is an angel music ??? and how about the Christian extreme metal music ? are they also a satanic music ?

So dude just follow your heart, cause your heart never lie to you. And keep the steel in you.
