Home Depot has larger hooks that screw into the wall and your handles should fit right into them. See More

I thought it was acrylic paint, so I painted a wooden coat rack with the oil by mistake and its been 2 weeks. Should I take the oil paint off somehow, and start from scratch? Why didn't the oil paint dry? Help!

I live in Eastern Europe in an older apartment block. I want to put up a coat rack and curtain rods. However, the walls are so hard, and I do not own a power drill. Any ideas?

Any ideas for an "alternative" wall mounted pot rack?
My home & kitchen are decorated in a Tuscan-inspired fashion. I like rustic stuff, maybe with a tiny bit of frou-frou, but not so scrolled-out that it looks like a gadget with a bad 80s perm. Ya know? I'm also on a budget - around $50. I really like to find alternative uses for things. (For example I have a tall wooden wine rack in our entry way with cubbies for the wine bottles....except we use it as a shoe rack for my kids' shoes.) I had thought of finding an antique or vintage style coat rack to use, but being it's a pot rack I'm afraid it would fall over. Also, if it's mounted, it needs to be wall-mounted as a ceiling mounted pot rack won't work in my space. Let the creativity begin!
I don't know if its really an alternative, but in our kitchen (before we remodeled) we had our pot and pans hanging from the wall. We just ... See More
If you know of an antique store around, an old wrought iron gate might be neat with the pots hanging on S hooks. See More

I had a coat rack pull out of a wall (not sure if it's plaster or concrete) that was hung with plas
This is not a hollow wall so I used plastic expansion anchors. After the coat rack pulled out, I realized that the hole I drilled for the anchor was just a hair off center so the screw didn't line up with the anchor and the screw cut through the plastic anchor instead of expanding it. My questions are: Do I need to repair the hole or can I use some other type of anchor in the existing hole? If I need to repair the hole and re-drill for a new anchor, what do I use to fill it? Is joint compound enough or do I need some of that epoxy based compound.
Get bigger anchors if you want to use the same holes. Otherwise fill with spackle and drill new holes about 3/4 inch away. See More
The first thing you need to do is dump the plastic anchors, and get some good soft metal units. These anchors have bolts which, when ... See More
What kind of metal should I use for stamping?
I make jewelry and wanted to get into metal stamping. I finally found some ABC stamps. I have looked everywhere and cannot find a metal soft enough to stamp into. I bought a sheet of flashing and some hollow punches. I have punched a few circles, which takes some time, and I seem to not have a problem with stamping into it, but I would like to find some that are either already cut or softer. Any suggestions on what type of metal to use and where to purchase softer metal? Thanks!
